The product is everything it claims to be, and more. It is very portable and convenient with great video quality and sound for its intended use.
Absolutely no regrets in making this purchase.
We took it Kauai for the trial run and it performed flawlessly. Viewing on a wide screen HDTV is very easy to do and fun for all at the end of a day of exploring the island.
Make sure you purchase the cables to connect your HDTV.
Thanks to Amazon for another great product with the usual reliable delivery service and support.

The camera is pretty cool and easy to use, but I was mistakenly under the impression that it would take snapshots. To get a snapshot, you have to video a subject then pick your favorite frame. A couple extra steps never killed anyone, but good light is a must for use.

I love this video camera because it is so easy just to throw in my purse and take anywhere. Also, it's very easy to download the videos to my computer and make them into a movie. Thanks goodness for The Flip...now my son will actually have videos of him playing soccer.

Amazing that this little camera can produce such good video.
HD comes at a price, though -- the files are HUGE! A two-minute movie comes out at nearly 150MB. It takes forever to download files from the camera, and several forevers for the FLIP software to combine clips into a movie. Uploading a full file to an FTP server for editing/voiceovers is agonizingly slow, even with DSL.
No battery life indicator and, instruction manual to the contrary, when charging from USB port, the battery charging light never goes out, so I dunno if it's fully charged or not.
