I love it! Installed in Windows 7... August 13, 2010 PanickedSerenity I was worried about it not installing on Windows 7 because a few reviews said it didn't work. It worked fine for me. It's quick and it's easy. I did have a problem at first though. I tried taking pictures directly out of My Computer > My Pictures, but it wouldn't let me. I just copied them and pasted the pics I wanted to a new folder on the desktop. I had as much fun putting them on there as I did looking at them afterwords! I pictures are not crystal clear, but they are pretty good quality. I feel I definatly got my money's worth.
Lots of fun on a keychain for 10 bucks! May 11, 2010 Andreas Schmieg (Minnesota USA) I just bought a black Coby Key Chain Digital Photo Frame for about ten bucks. The downside first: You can not simply use it like a USB drive and copy pictures to it. At first I thought the thing was broken or the software was messed up (see other review). But once you figured out how to use the installed software, adding 60 pictures is a breeze. The software automatically resizes the pictures for you, so you don't have to. The main challenge is to get your favorite photos from 1000 to only 60. Great little toy for very little money.
Cute Gadget May 5, 2010 B-More Mom & Luvin' It (Baltimore, MD United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this for my Mom from Sears as one of her gifts for this upcoming Mother's Day. I thought it would be a really cute gift to give for her to show off some of our family photos including old photos scanned and transferred to this thing.....bottom line a cute keepsake for her.
When I connected the keychain using the enclosed usb cord, I got a msg saying USB connected, yet my computer wouldn't recognize that there was new equipment connected to it, so I thought I needed to, as the instructions said, let it charge for 4 hours or overnight. Which is what I did. The next morning, still, my computer wasn't recognizing it, so I took it to work, and still nothing, but I went on and left it plugged in all day hoping that since the keychain read "USB connected" and I had it plugged into that computer....I was hoping it would then "miraculously work"....it didn't. I went home that evening (day 2) and googled reviews on this thing. After finding some lengthy steps that people had taken to "make it work", I found one person who said that you have to "jam the usb cord into the picture frame with brute force until it clicks". Well that did it and the dern thing started working and the software automatically downloaded from the picture from. I just wish the instructions had said plug the usb cord into the picture frame til you hear a click, since normally, plugging a USB cable doesn't require force (and definitely not brute force:-).
After finally getting it to work, copying the pictures over to it from my computer was a breeze and took very little effort. This little thing is really bright and the resolution is pretty good considering its display is a little over an inch. Now, would I buy it again considering all of the trouble I had with it initially? Yes, now that I know what to do and because it's only $10.......and it's cute.
